August 20-21, 2011 Reining Alberta Schooling Show
We couldn’t have asked for better weather for the last schooling show of the season. Lots of sunshine, heat and, finally, the chance to warm up in our newly completed outdoor arena!!! Thanks to all of the Reining Alberta volunteers that helped to make the shows run smoothly. We hope that you all are looking forward to next year’s show season as much as we are!
July 1st, 2011 Road to the Pan Am Games Fundraiser for Crystal Kroetch & Lymrix
A fantastic evening was in store for everyone that came out to support Crystal’s bid to be part the Canadian Dressage Team heading to the Pan Am Games in Guadalajara, Mexico in October, 2011. A great lineup of demonstrations were in store for everyone to enjoy, including a couple of very cute mini ponies and their trainers, a Reining demonstration by Sage Sapergia, and a very exciting demo by professional trick rider, Shelby Cummings. Also, two of Crystal’s students performed a beautiful Pas de Deux to music. Crystal and Lymrix, her 10 year old Hanoverian gelding, saved the best for last by putting on an amazing Dressage demonstration which clearly showed their talent as a team. It was a pleasure for all of us at PMR to be a part of this great evening!
UPDATE: Crystal & Lymrix have qualified for the Pan Am Games – GOOD LUCK!!!
July 1-2nd, 2011 Markus Gribbe – High Performance Training Camp
PMR was fortunate once again to have the opportunity to host another clinic with Markus Gribbe. It was great to see some of the same faces and also to meet a few new participants and their horses. Thank you once again to Shelagh Hohm for doing such an amazing job in putting this clinic together on such short notice!
June 18th & 19th, 2011 Reining Alberta Schooling Show
A great time was had by all that attended the RA June schooling show. Our hopes of having the outdoor arena completed in time for the show were dashed as the rain just wouldn’t seem to go away. The Reining Alberta South Branch crew did an amazing job organizing the rides times both days so everyone had equal opportunity to warm up in the arena. Thank you to Kris Canaday for making sure that we all had something to eat on Sunday. The pizza was great! Looking forward to the next show...
Markus Gribbe - High Performance Training Camp, May 17-18th, 2011
This clinic was a wonderful opportunity for both participants and spectators to learn from Markus Gribbe who is the newly appointed Technical Leader for Dressage Canada’s High Performance Program. Thank you to Bonnie Bonnello and everyone else that made it possible for Prairie Mountain Ranch to host a clinic of this caliber. It truly was a pleasure to welcome so many talented athletes, both human and equine, to our facility. A special thank you to Shelagh Hohm for her amazing organizational skills and looking after all of the “paperwork” for us.

Reining Alberta South Branch Schooling Show, May 14-15th, 2011
There was a great turnout both days of our first RA schooling show. The weather could have cooperated a little more, less wind would have been a real help, but all in all we think that show turned out great. Thank you to all of the Reining Alberta volunteers for their time making both days run so smoothly and doing such a fantastic job
Big thanks to the participants that made the extra effort to help clean up after their horses in the arena and in the parking lot, it really helps us out and puts a smile on our faces! See you all at the next schooling show June 18-19th.
QHAA All Novice All Breed Fat & Fuzzy Show, April 23, 2011
Thank you to the QHAA for the opportunity to host their 3rd Annual Fat & Fuzzy Show here at PMR. From our perspective it was a great first show to get our “feet wet”. A variety of classes were offered ranging from halter and showmanship and trail etc. along with a number of English classes. The used tack and clothing sale was a fantastic opportunity to get some great deals or make a little money
Thank you to all of the exhibitors and volunteers who took the time to help keep the barn area, arena and parking lot clean…it was very much appreciated! And last but not least, thank you to Kathie MacKenzie and all of the QHAA crew for doing a fantastic job and giving PMR the chance to host this fun show!

Reining Alberta Open Rider Clinic, February 12-13 2011, with Million Dollar Rider Brent Wright @ Prairie Mountain Ranch
February 15, 2011
Thank you once again to Reining Alberta for allowing us to host the 2011 Open Rider Clinic with Brent Wright. By all accounts it was a great success and enjoyed by the clinic participants and spectators alike. This was our first large event using our new auxilliary barn, which can accommodate 28 horses. Even though we were very fortunate to have wonderful weather this past weekend, it was great to be able to have everything from the stabling to the concession under one roof.

It was a pleasure and an honor to have Mr. Brent Wright and his wife, Jan, at our facility. Brent's experience, knowledge and professionalism assured the resounding success of this year's clinic. On behalf of everyone at Prairie Mountain Ranch we would like to thank you for passing on your knowledge and we would welcome you back at any time!

Congratulations to all those who won year-end awards at the banquet on Saturday night. Once again we enjoyed a great meal and great company.

Thanks to all of the Reining Alberta volunteers that helped out over the weekend to assure that things ran smoothly. Special thanks go out to our staff, Kim, Neacolette and Doug. Their extra efforts prior to the clinic and in making everyone feel welcome and comfortable, humans and horses alike, was very much appreciated by all.

We look forward to hosting many more successful events in the future and hope to see you all soon...
